What You Need To Know About TPO Roofing

TPO stands for thermoplastic polyolefin and is a blend of ethylene propylene rubber and polypropylene. It's reinforced with polyester. Installation of TPO is a single-ply system that's heat-weldable, making it easy to repair, low maintenance and puncture-resistant. It's also resistant to UV rays, algae, and mold. A well-maintained TPO roof can last 20–30 years. TPO is budget-friendly and cost-effective over time. This type of roofing systme is also flexible in cold temperatures, allowing the underlying structure to expand and contract.

Provantage Systems ensures your installation meets the highest standards. We also have our own metal fabrication workshop that allows us to manufacture all types of flanges, vents and project specific items. TPO is somewhat safe to walk on, but walk pads can help reduce wear and tear. Typical TPO type membranes, we do recommend the installation of padding which will not only insulate your building in hot and cold, but provide a level of soundproofing-especially for metal roofs.
